  • Tribal Art!

Firstly I would like to thank Jay for the art competition suggestion for adults (I won't be entering as I'm not the competitive kind). It did however re-ignite my passion for silhouette drawing which I enjoyed many years ago, I even did a 6ft x 4ft one of Freddie Mercury on a wall when I had my flat...........................I have another which I may post. Anyways, I digress. I love these tribal drawings that seem to be the trend so have decided to have a bash. Please feel free to join me, if not I will continue to fill these cold nights up with drawings which I will post if you don't mind.

    No1 is quite appropriate:

Yeah it's Freddie! Wish I'd seen a queen gig, while Freddie was still here.

I was lucky enough to see them at Elland Rd football ground in 1982 with Teardrop Explodes and Joan Jett if I remember correctly.

Fantastic. I almost didn't click on this thread because I didn't think I'd find tribal art very interesting. These are really cool. The one of Freddie is my fave so far and would make a very good poster. The black is very effective.

I can't draw for toffee but I like coloring.

I think you're very good BM. Back in the day, when we had record covers or vinyl sleeves, that Freddie Mercury one would have looked great on one of those. If you enjoy it, go for it
