  • Tooth fairy - how much?

It's been a long time since since the tooth fairy visited this house, but my 14yr old has to have 3 teeth (all milk) removed tomorrow before getting fitted for a brace.

The monster has already started haggling - At 42yrs I remember first getting 10p per tooth then 50p later on in the recession hit 70's.....

Monster reckons £5 is a good starting point - what is the going rate

Bury them under an apple tree and tell him he can have the first apple from it..............yeah I'm sure he'll go for that........NOT!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Iona got £1 for the first tooth and now expects 20p per tooth but she lost one last week after a lot of pain (so she says) so the Tooth Fairy gave her a bonus and she got 50p for that one

When DD had to have 3 out at the dentist before they could do her braces we let her choose a video from the tooth fairy, which was around £10. Worth every penny. She was a quivering jelly, but there was no murmur from her, just a crushed Mum's hand. I don't know I'd have got her in through the door, let alone in the chair otherwise. That's the penalty of never needing any fillings, she wasn't prepared to let the dentist do more than look

I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

£1 / tooth in this house
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

Used to do 50p for front ones and a quid for molars. £5 would be one very rich fairy!
