    timers???

    Help please!!

    My little timer for the kitchen has packed in and I just wondered if there is anywhere on the computer you can put in a countdown and then an alarm sounds at the end.
    I've never seen/heard of one- but logic tells me if you can find/use a calculator on here, then why not a timer as there is already a clock on the computer!!

    Anyone know of anything???

      I dont know about one on computers but I have one on my mobile phone that I can just carry about with me so that I can get on with whatever Im doing and not worry that I wont hear my kitchen one.

        We use the one on the oven, I know not all ovens have them but do you have any other appliancies that may have one?

            Thanks- sorted!!!!

            My problem is that the kitchen is a few rooms away so I can't here a timer in there.
            I only have my phone on if I'm out in the car
            The oven is 25 years old- made a long , long before clocks were invented!

            and- when I'm working on the computer 1/2 hr can pass by within seconds- so no chance for anything in the oven!!!

            Brill!! Ta folks

            ( just need to check the volume button is on on the keyboard ( cat walks across it!)

                I have radio built under the cupboard it has a timer and the only way I can turn the timer off is by switching it off at the plug. I am sure there is a way but havent found it yet even when I read the instuctions. its so loud I can hear it anywhere in the house.
