  • Three issues of GYO for a quid!

I only noticed this offer today, so thought it was worth mentioning - although it may be on here somewhere else! On the back of the free seeds that we got with the March issue (& Feb, I now notice), there is an offer for 3 issues of GYO for a pound - must be some catch thought I (well, I am from Yorkshire ), but no, it's gone through and I'm well chuffed as my subscription ran out this month and I'd decided I couldn't afford to renew. Hope this makes someone else as happy as it did me!

I've been meaning to re-subscribe for ages, this may well be the spur I needed to do it!
    Cheers

Does it require the subscription be for 12 months? Is there an online link?

I thought it would be a tie in too, but it is for a stand-alone 'set' of 3 issues, which is what made me so happy!!

This is the link from the back of the seeds from the Feb issue:

Subscribe - Grow Your Own Magazine - GYO Growing & How To Grow Vegetables tomatoes & fruit from your garden - Tips on Growing - and then you enter promotional code GYO0209cmf. You do have to use direct debit to pay for the mags, but it seems to be only for one quarterly payment (if it turns out to be different I stand to be corrected ).

That sounds like a fab offer, I will have to buy Grow your own today, was saving up for 'Lets grow veg' this month as the 7 'free' seeds were all ones I needed to buy anyway, but might go for both, just for a treat!!!

I think you are supposed to subscribe for 12 months, as it says at the bottom of the page:

                  Please Note:
*this is a direct debit offer available to UK residents only. After your first three issues, payment will increase to £17.70 every 6 issues. All subscription are for a minimum term of 12 months. No monies will be refunded prior to this term being completed. Existing subscribers can renew using this offer and will be tied into a 12 month term. This limited offer closes 30th April 2009.

ClassicFM magazine did something similar, when I spoke to them the lady said that after the 3 issues were delivered they would carry on delivering the magazine at the usual rate but I could cancel at anytime, this was only verbal so dont know if correct

i have taken them up on this offer and i asked them was i tied into a contract for 12 months and they stated no you can cancel the direct debit anytime before the fourth magazine (i will cacel it just before i get my third mag as it works out cheaper to get a full 12 months from off this site) so you just payz your quid and then its up to you

Ah. Should have known it was, as I first suspected, too good to be true! Still, if it is as Ixi says, it's not so bad... and even if I have to get 12 issues, it makes sure I still get GYO eh?!

I'd seen the March code and tried to subscribe but can't find the 3 for £1 offer however I try. I put in the promotional code and it thanks me for entering the promotional code but only seems to show the usual subscription rates. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?

Because the offer was a year ago?
