I've managed to catch up with at least a months worth of ironing!!Was going to get the paints out with the kiddies but realised it's actually almost time to start tea!!(must start ironing straight as clothes are dry!)

Ironing. That's what I should be doing now - this is displacement activity!
Grandchild no 1 chose the fabrics - fairies and ballerinas. Granddaughter no 2 will no doubt turn out to be a tom-boy and lust after Thomas the tank Engline!

Sow seeds, do woodwork in the garage [usually knocking up more seed or raised bed frames], listen to the radio or read.

Or sleep if I can get away with it.

                  Or cook if I'm peckish.

Or just open the back door and enjoy the rain cooling down the heat.

The quilt looks lovely, I've always fancied having a go myself - might get round to it one day

When its raining I usually have a big baking day or do some housework or sit on my laptop buying things for the veggi patch

well as i've been working my butt off outside in the sunshine for the last week, today i went to the corner shop, and bought tons of sweeties and choccie (i think i needed an artificial everything top up lol ) and i've sat here smoking fags, drinking tea, and munching all day and watching jeremy kyle

I took last week off work to spend with my son who`s 13. He spent most of last week fishing with friends down the canal. So I knitted a chunky cardigan in purple, lilac and pink.( it sound horrid but its quite nice).
I`m back work now and he`s still fishing everyday.

The quilt's gorgeous Flum! Get all the pretty pink 'girlie' things in first to please grandchild no.1, by the time no.2 is old enough to say 'I don't like that' she'll be too big for them anyway!
When it's raining I usually have a look around the forum but this week I've been doing some decorating that I started last year in the bedroom!
