Uh OH! You'd better get the antidote down you as quick as possible. Two bottles of red wine in quick succession should do the trick.. maybe THREE

As far as I know mouldy cheese will do you no harm. The green stuff is only penicillin. Just cut off the green stuff and get on with it.

          She says !

I am very fussy about use by dates and how long stuff has been in the fridge. 2 days in the fridge and I want to chuck it out.
My sister says she never looks at these things (dates) and as long as it doesn't have a beard she eats it.
What does everyone else think ?

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I ignore dates too, if it looks ok and smells ok then it gets eaten. If it's green and furry and not supposed to be (can't think of anything that should look like that ) then it goes in the bin.

Sell by dates - an excuse by the shops to try and get you to buy more!

Ignore sell by dates etc totally but use common sense to check if something is off at all. Eat mouldy cheese quite often but do usually cut off the furry bits first!

By the way, think that white wine will also work as an antidote!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Most things dont last five mins in my fridge, if its not daughter raiding it then its son no 1or 3 or grandson lol. Anything that should get left, dates looked at and depends how long out of date, couple of days is ok couple of weeks gets chucked.

I never stick to sellby dates, and it really annoys me when my daughters come round and spring clean my fridge. They usually chuck into the bin exactly what I was planning to have for supper that night!!!!!!!!!

Dog always gets the hard bit off the end of the cheese and I get the rest. Never seemed to do her any harm!
