if you can't get an appointment straight away, ring NHS direct, they will ask you exactly what's going on, get a doctor to talk to you, then tell you whether you should be worried or not. and what to do next.

they may be a bit pants, but if they think it's something serious, they will get a doctor to call you back ....... kidney problems usually cause weeing problems too, but not always, so sort it or i'll shout.

The HMS shouldn't be affecting your kidneys chick, or making you feel sick. Lynda's right, you should ring the number, or ring your GP for an appt, or both!

cor you two are picking on me lol!!!! the thing is, my OH says its not the kidneys as too low! so if its my back, well its bad!! but not in the middle lol!!

strange woman i am ! i dont like going to the dr or taking any pills, as Sarah knows with HMS you can suffer in your hips, lower back, knees, ankles etc and thats why i think i have over done it with the decorating stuff.

Dont have any problems with the wee dept, perhaps i am that unlucky that i have a sickness bug thing with a bad back lol!! only me!!!!!!!!!!!

promise i will ring later, especially if it gets worse xx thanks for caring xx

Hi Squashysue, could be a urinary tract infection. Very painful. The only way to know is to go to docs so he can test. Gives very bad back pain just above the kidneys, and when I had it also continued to move round to the front and eventually joined up and it can make you feel sick because of the infection. Then I was hospitalised!! Please get it checked. Hope you are feeling better now. Sanjo

Have you phoned/been to the doctor yet Su? Better to see him and know rather than not and worry.
Let us know how you get on.

Ditto what the others have said Su~if it's still bad call the Doc~there's nothing worse than sitting & stewing about what it could be & they'll hopefully be able to put your mind at ease & give you something hardcore to get rid of the pain~You'll be able to enjoy Weds more with decent painkillers than not!So if you haven't already GET ON THAT PHONE!!!(I did as I was told today so you owe me one!)Take Care x

di - that is so unfair ha ha !!

well feel better now, took painkillers and it is defo a bad back, you see i get pains in my tum sometimes from the HMS (I think they called this EDS???),

i have had kidney problems before and its not the same as this pain, IYKWIM!

I was feeling so low earlier and some of it is sure has to be in the head! now the tum is loads better, i know it is a poorly back, all this decorating, cleaning, moving stuff etc over the last 3 weeks has taken its toll.

Its ok now as the OH came home (didnt expect him till late) and he has paid me no attention whatsoever! typical man, just wait until he has manflu next!!!!!!

thanks for caring guys! xx

I have the answer to all your problems, now where's your brandy glass?

If your kidneys ache, make the liver suffer, that way the liver tells your kidneys to stop moaning as they have it easy. Then your brain gets all hazy and switches off the synapsis pathways, while you sit in a happy smilie stupor. Works for me everytime.

Computers are strange things though su, they are better than the spoken word of actually keeping in touch. You'll keep in touch, don't worry, you probably find your relationship becomes stronger.

Smile you haven't lost anything, you'll probably closer than if she moved 100 miles away, and what a super holiday destination!!
