I don't even know where Bwindi is - but it looks like a good place to go for close encounters. I love the way the silverback reaches out to the young one and gently guides him away from the man. Not sure how I'd react if they all came and sat behind me. I suppose they're told not to make eye contact. Incredible.

          I don't know if I can justify 3 grand for a 3 day trek.

I didn't look at the cost Maybe your lottery ticket will come up trumps. On the other hand - if you really really want to do something, you just have to do it, whatever.

              One word WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BM, if your into Gorillas then 3k would seem very reasonable to have the experience of a life time. Get a video like that one and you could dine out on it for the rest of your life.

Remember we mainly regret the chance's we didn't take.

I've got a bit of a dilemma though Colin as I plan to retire when I'm 60 so would be difficult to justify that sort of lay out..........who know's what lies in store?

I can tell you this from experience, don't put off the things you really want to do because sometimes life will get in your way and stop you fulfilling those dreams. If you want to do it, do it!

VC, words of wisdom from you tonight I could not agree more.

I have always believed you should live for the moment because you never know if there will another 'moment that is'. Life is to fickle to count your chickens and a few bob in the bank don't give you memories and smiles.

So true, Potty. My husband always wanted a Model T Ford but kept putting off buying one ?£6-8k? because it was an extravagance. Not at all practical etc. Sure it was a lot of money but, that's all it was, money. So the money sat in the bank and he died before ever having his car. I've vowed to do everything I can while I can and sod tomorrow

Excellent outlook! Chap on our lotty like that. He couldn't have a plot when his wife was alive and neither would she let him indulge his love of opera until she had retired. She had two years to go. He'd already left work. She passed away. He always talks about her, but he got himself a bucket list of all the things he should never have waited to do. He now travels the world around the opera houses and takes his lady friend with him. He's also got an allotment and Keith is my best buddy up there. I love him to bits

Someone on here sums it up wonderfully so I will steal their signature.

'Live every day as if its your last and garden as if you are going to live forever.'

I can't think of a better way to look at life.

I think everyone I know in my age group knows someone who has made all the right moves, skimped and saved for the future only to never have that future.

I am very fortunate in that if I were to make a bucket list it would be very short as I have already crossed many things off.

Colin and I still expect to live forever.
