  • Thank God he's back down!

I watched with baited breath as Tim Peake finally landed back on terra firma. I cannot believe the amazing technology that has enabled him to travel so far to live in space for six months and get him back down in safety and so on time! I bet many British Rail travellers wish trains could do that!!
I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!

I too am glad he is safely down. Partly as its so risky but also to stop the painful news reporting earlier hen they had nothing to report but kept blithering on about nothing. They needed to leave it until there was something to actually report.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

      I'm sorry he's down.
It won't be the same waving to the Space thingy without him on board. I'm sure I saw him wave back once

My mum used to wave at the moon - when she could see it from the window of her secure hospital.
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
        Pumpkin pi.

Oh gosh that reminds me of my employer when I was a horse coper - she used to curtsey to the new moon then spin round three times on seeing it for the first time each month - wherever she was and whoever was there. Many's the time I've wished the ground would open under me......or for preference, her

How nice that he's home in time to celebrate Father's Day.

Just really pleased he arrived safely.
It'll be really interesting to see the long term effects zero gravity has had on him.

I've loved seeing his cheery face...not the typical po face you usually get....certainly a leading light for potential space travellers who are most likely in infant/ junior school right now!

Tis the first time I've seen a re-entry/landing from the Russian aspect...I love the idea the astronauts/cosmonauts get a piece of fresh fruit on arrival!

              What would I ask for?..

Urm....a banana perhaps?...live yoghurt?....dried raisins?...a glass of Perrier ..or a simple glass of champers/ beer maybe...or a simple mug of Yorkshire tea?

              What would you ask for?

Sky news were saying that his fav is pizza, but they have to stay with carefully controlled conditions and diet, until all the tests are finished - another couple of weeks at least

Ah yes...I'd forgotten about the follow- up tests.

Hope climatising to gravity isn't too difficult for them all.
