  • Thai sauce removal

Just wondering, if any of you might know how to remove Thai sauce stain, from a brand new! cream coloured t shirt? Currently in a bath of cold water. (Not my t shirt, husbands. )

    Any advice appreciated

    Thanks.

    Give it to my mum.
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

Try a bit of Vanish. Really good stain remover.

I've never had any total success with any stain removers to be honest...but I'll keep trying!

I did find this for you.....

Curry Stain Removal - How to Remove Curry Stains - Good Housekeeping
        Might be worth a go?

Failing that how about a bit of clever needlework by sewing on a motif?
Perhaps an old designer label sewn over the stain?

Do you have any young children in the family?....how about a hand print of theirs over the stain in permanent ink/dye
        Just a thought!

Toothpaste works on food stains…especially those brands that contain baking soda

Hope your husband's out of the cold bath now, Dotty. Makes a change from being in hot water, I guess.
If you can't remove the stain, make a feature of it. Take a permanent marker pen, draw an arrow pointing at the stain and write "Thai sauce" alongside it. It'll look like a designer Tshirt then and everyone will want one!
They used to sell tie with "winestains" or "egg" on and they were quite pricey

Thanks, no he's still in the cold bath, covered in toothpaste!

Like your ideas, will suggest to him! Was brand new, first time of wearing.

Now, when I go out for curry or similar, being sensible, wud Never wear a white or cream top.

Curry stains can usually be bleached out by the sun. Wash as you would normally with vanish or similar then hang out in bright sunlight. This certainly works with turmeric stains, don't know for sure if it will with Thai stains.

Can you let me know whether toothpaste removes Thai sauce please?
I always splatter my clothes with toothpaste when I clean my teeth - so just wondering whether Thai sauce would remove the white marks
Thank you in anticipation of insults as usual

                      If nothing works, dye it.
Then it will be Thai and dye.........

I like the 'bib' idea, especially the plastic 'pelican' bib type. But it's too late damage done!,,,,, I'll go check the toothpaste application
