  • Tea or Coffee?

    I was just curious.....

Tea or coffee? Tea in a teapot or mug, loose or bags? Has the tea making in a pot died?Fresh or instant coffee?

I always used to drink instant coffee, can't abide tea, because cafetiere coffee tastes like cigarettes to me. I've got a coffee machine (£5 from ebay) now so I can make a mugful of perfectly fresh coffee at the touch of a button and because the coffee is made under pressure I don't get the smokey taste.

The BH is a dedicated tea drinker. Always in the tea pot, although he constantly makes a full pot and drinks only half.......I put the rest on the garden. Everyday tea is in teabags but his Earl Grey has to be loose....weirdo.

My Mum and Dad have the red label tea bags - as they only like the red label type???

Whereas i can't stand tea, to me it tastes like washing up liquid with a hint of poison - so i stick with coffee - Nescafe green blend instant coffee is my favourite at the moment

I live on my own, so it's teabags and instant coffee for me. PG teabags, and any good quality instant coffee (Kenco or Douwe Egbert)

Depends really. If I'm working, then it's tea - tea before bed too. I prefer decent loose leaf tea, but tend to go for Yorkshire tea bags (I like a strong cup of tea).

Coffee, I use Illy beans - I have a built in coffee machine in my new kitchen, that atm I seem to be permanently wired to

I don't drink tea and don't like "real" coffee or strong coffee. So I'm just a levelish spoon of instant coffee in a big mug - no sugar or milk! I'm very cheap to keep
Of course, I'll drink anything if there's nothing else going - especially if it has Al -K -OL in it

Tea IS poison full stop, never drunk it even as a kid, blewww, when having a warm drink it's either a level or less of good coffee,or hot choc, with red top milk or dried, and 2 sweetners,id find though, that the coffee to be placed in last of all,is better,as boing water burnes it,with the choc,it better putting the mik in last,

Coffee every time - any way it comes [apart from filter - unless it is really good quality it's rank] and if I'm having a tea it's half a cup please! Don't be kind and give me the biggest mug in the cupboard with half a bucket full. Sigh.

Fave coffee is strong, through the espresso with steamy milk and one sugar. Slurp.

It has to be tea for my first cuppa of the day, after that it could be tea or coffee, with a sugar and skimmed milk in

Sometimes the coffee even has a squirt of swirly L/F cream on top and pretends it's a cappuccino
                      - cos I can never bother with the machine for just one cup

I'm the same has to be tea first thing in the morning.

I love fresh coffee but never have time to make it.
A little while ago I found in sainsbugs coffee bags made by lyons.
Just like a tea bag throw it a mug wait 5 minutes.
                        Makes lovely coffee.

My mate asked if he could put a tea bag in my mouth then fill it with the water.
Must think I'm some kind of mug........

                          I'll get my coat.

tea for me, water is awfully hard here so it tends to have a scum on top, but I have just discovered a 'fair trade' tea which is lovely and no scum. Strong but with lots of milk and now the occasional spoon of sugar after not taking sugar for over 40 years.... what's that all about!!!

Oh is coffee, any way as long as it s not instant. I love the aroma but hate the taste

Tea all the way for me...
Strong and from a pot preferably but modern life dictates ( or seems to) its mainly tea bags..
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

                              ...utterly nutterly
