  • Targeted weight loss for 2011

    This is the non-chat weight loss thread for 2011.

    What you need to do is to pop your targets, your weighing day of choice, and your strategy for getting to your target.

    Weigh days and weight lost so far:

    My Target is 1.5 stone by the end of March.
    Weigh in will be Sunday.
    I intend to do this by doing a lot more exercise, swimming, walking.
    Drink more water.
    Try to leave out the chocolate snack biscuits and cakes.
    Eat more fruit.
    Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
    and ends with backache

      I'm aiming to lose a couple of stone by the spring, say end of March.

      I don't have scales, but my aim is to be back in the trousers I bought in the summer, before my op. They are a good size smaller than the ones I'm currently wearing.

      I intend to do this by:
      Cutting out Carbohydrates.
      Drinking more fluids.
      Increasing my daily exercise, this includes getting a Dog!

        oooh, I might stick to losing some weight if I make a target with other people

        I want to lose 2st by mid March, I know I can lose a st a month following slimming world, but money is tight at the moment and I don't want to pay to go to group again just yet, so I will follow that plan, which is basically healthy eating anyway!

        Less bread, less tea and cutting out the rubbish which I love so much

        I could do with losing more than the 2st, but I think baby steps is the way to go!

        A Sunday seems like a good day to weigh Do you have to put it on here, how much you have lost?

          Hi, Im Jacqui

          I aim to loose 2 stone by about April time
          I am going to do it by cutting out sugary stuff, floury stuff, dairy based stuff and increasing my fruit, veg and water intake whilst excercising loads.
          My weigh in day is Saturday

            My name is Scarey
            I plan to lose 1 stone by end of Feb and continue losing weight from there until I'm 10 stone.
            I WILL do this by exercising more
            eating less
            drinking more water and stop snacking

            Weigh-in day will be Sunday.

              My Target is a stone by the end of Feb.

              Weigh-in day will be Sunday.

              I intend to do this by:

              increasing fibre intake
              keeping on top of liquids and making sure I drink loads
              reducing sweet snacking
              increasing daily exercise
              making sure that my plate is 1/3 max of starchy foods; and the rest is veg based.

                I would like to because I have the willpower of a gnat and need pushing - don't know what anyone else thinks - otherwise, we could trade weights by PM

                    To lose 7lbs by Easter
                    I will not be cutting out any food groups
                    I will be checking that calories in verses calories out show required end result
                    I will maintain my current program of 30 mins (min.) cardio daily

                    Current weight - 135lbs
                    Target weight - 128lbs
                    Weigh in day - Sunday

                      Current weight 2lb short of 10 stone

                      Target to be 9 stone by end of Feb

                      Will eat less cheese, take sarnies to work to stop me buying cheese and bacon toasties
                      Will actually use the bike machine in the bedroom for it's intended use not as a clothes holder!

                      May as well weigh in on a Sunday with the rest of you

                        I want to find the muscle that I know is under my thigh-flab, and to tighten the bingo wings I got for my 40th.

                        Weight isn't as important to me as feeling comfortable in my clothes, but I guess I want to lose 8lbs off my thighs by Easter. My top half is a 10, my bottom a 14

                        I will be cutting down the booze
                        I don't like water in the winter, so fruity herbal teas instead
                        I'll have treats if I fancy them, but take those calories off a meal
                        I will maintain my current program of daily cycle commute (3-5 miles) but add in some targeted leg exercises with this TnT DVD

                        Current weight - 58 kg (9 st 2lb)
                        Target weight - under 54 kg (8 st 6lb)
                        Thigh - 57cm
                        Hips - 99cm
                        Weigh in day - Sunday

                        Salma Hayek is the same height but a stone lighter than me at 8st 2lb

                        23 Jan - 56.4 kg (another 300g loss, but I did have a wine n cheese binge)
                        30 Jan - 56.8 kg (400g gain, that's not good)
                        6 Feb - 56.3 kg (and off again, that's better)
                        13 Feb - 55.2 kg (2lb lost, good oh)
                        20 Feb - 55.1 kg (100g loss)
                        27 Feb - 56.1 kg (2 lb gain ... in a week? I have auntie to visit, maybe it's water retention)
                        6 Mar - 55.8 kg (300g loss)
                        20 Mar - 55.4 kg (400g loss)
                        3 Apr - 55.4 kg (I have been pigging out for a fortnight)
                        10 Apr - 54 kg (3 lb loss, I can't believe it. I don't feel like I've even been trying)
                        24 Apr - 55.6 kg (I've been poorly, and comfort eating)
                        15 May - 55.6 kg (still comfort eating, not much exercise. Just glad I haven't gained again)
                        28 May - 54.8 kg (that's better: cutting out the booze)
                        26 Jun - 56.9 kg (not good, but I have been bingeing on Aldi salted caramel chocky)
                        7 Aug - 57.1 kg (back to square one ~ I've had a chocky bar every day, no cycling)

                          Weight 14st 12, target weight 13st by July 2011.

                          I shall do this by increasing the amount of calories I burn daily with increased exercise of many types.
                          Weigh in days will be Sundays when home, not sure when I'm in work.

                            I have quite a lot to lose, but will be aiming for 3 stone this year. 2 stone ideally by a wedding in June.

                            Weigh in day will be Friday's, though we didn't weigh last week.

                            I shall be doing this by
                            - eating less treats
                            - following the slimming world diet, as it worked before
                            - reducing portion sizes
                            - increasing exercise, using home DVD's and the exercise bike.

                            I shall be doing it with the OH, as we both have this amount to lose.
