I haven't been to my wood for a couple of months, because I couldn't go there with Rosie dog in case she damaged her eye in the undergrowth. I must get there soon to see the autumn colours and do a bit of foraging I'll be very interested in seeing what this chap does.
A new series of 6 started last night on BBC 4, about a man who has bought a woodland, with the intention of managing it. Not sure whether you saw it VC?
I found it fascinating, he was discussing the forest of dean which I believed to be natural, as only containing 200 mature trees around c1800, as we had coppiced the rest.
Last night he introduced 2 tamworth pigs to clear an area of bracken, I'm really looking forward to the remainder of this series. I want a wood...
