Default Sunflowers

Just popped to the lottie to pick red cabbage and beetroot to put in my sisters box and one of my sunflowers had snapped at the bottom lots of buds on it and it was over 8ft tall what can I do with them as they are not open yet.

Yup, I'd do that too. Drop of bleach in the water to stop it going manky, and a few drops of tomato feed or BabyBio to help the flowers out a bit.

Its snapped right off at the base I dont think tape of any sort will help

Measured the fallen sunflower and it was over 9 ft tall and had over 30 flowers sadly none open. Can anyone beat that this year !!!

I thought there was a competition for sunflowers grown from birdseed; ours are over 9ft and just starting to flower.

No prizes; just for fun!!!

I've got red ones, they have only reached about 5 foot, (well they are supposed to be red but they are more kind of burnt orange) ..... pretty though
