Default Sunday night chat 11th May - Summer holiday

As its peak growing time and indeed holiday time, posts for the Sunday night chat have really dropped off cos your all out there digging.

So we can enjoy the summer as well, the Sunday night chat is going on a summer holiday after this Sunday until the end of August when it will return once more for fun and frivolity, tall tales and experiences beyond the allotment.

This Sundays chat will be opened at about 7pm (ish) as usual.

Evening all. Hope you have had a great weekend. Been warm enough here for gardening in shorts! (not a pretty sight!)

Hello Mrs D. We've had a great 9 days of weather here. Can't believe I've got to water the garden tonight. Not the norm here. Shame when you have to work though.

So I got a move to Calke Abbey ..................................WONDERFUL.
Been erecting fences & trimming a Blackthorn hedge(very overgrown)

Evening everyone. Best day's gardening ever here. The bramble patch and disaster zone is starting to resemble a veggie garden at last (if you squint through one eye while drinking a bottle of beer and have a good imagination). Madmax has worked his socks off bless him.

The man in charge is an ex miner among other things & knows what work is all about & not one of the PC brigade.
I don't mind being polite & respecting people but some of the PC brigade take it too far.

Hello peeps, how's it going. Hot and sunny here all day, managed to get some more onions and carrots in and loads more in the "greenhouse" waiting to go out - then the thunder came

At last the thunder, lightening and rain have stopped. Dexter is back to his normal self so the house is quiet..... unfortunately, I stabbed myself in the left hand whilst cooking tea, have got it wrapped up, but the typing is a bit slow! LOL!
