  • Sunday is nearly here :-O

So, firstly I would like to thank my sponsors - I'm over-whelmed by the responses and whilst I have not yet completed a 5k run in my training programme I shall do my very very bestest on Sunday.

My usual Sunday fry-up breakfast (cooked by Snowdrop) will be replaced by porridge (cooked by me) followed by a banana.

Then I shall troddle off in my technicals to get a warm-up with a RNLI lifeguard (mmmmm), then I shall don my antlers and flashing nose, then I shall run - run - run like the wind (or like a snail!), then I shall pass the Finish line to receive my hot chocolate and medal.

This is a first for me - please bear in mine that I'm an old(ish) asthmatic and send me you best wishes and all the wind you can muster

I refer to this and this

What time do you think I'll do it in? I reckon approx 45mins.

45 minutes, cripes! If that were me, it would be 45 hours. Good luck Piskie, you'll be great - just imagine all of us on here cheering you on

Brilliant! The very best of luck - you probably will go faster than you imagined you could with all the excitment of being with the other runners. Mind you, the weight of those antlers may slow you down! Just enjoy it!

We have annual passes to the Safari Park, and might just pop over on Sunday with Bean. How will we be able to tell you apart?

Sorry, forgot to wish you good luck my dearest. Catch a lift on a passing deer and you'll have it licked in 5.
