Actually, there have been unbiased studies that have shown that kids don't get hyperactive from sugar, and having watched my kid on sugar, then on something with lots of food colouring, I'd say it's the food colouring that affects her worst.
Behavioural problems is down to lack of discipline and low self esteem (often brought on by never being given tasks to do, and do them successfully).
Don't get me wrong - I don't feed my daughter lots of sugar, but very rarely processed food, and there's plenty of discipline, and when she has her mad moments, they're not 'problems'

And in other news, pigs can fly and the moon is made of cheese.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Everything in moderation, if all you lived on was lettuce I suppose there would be a call to ban lettuce

Sugar is a known-about nasty - we never had it (in this format) when we first started to walk upright, we don't need it, it is not good....I'm not saying it's not nice...I'm saying we don't need it

One of my children has mild adhd.
I do agree that sugar sweets are not the way forward.
Give her a bar of chocolate, 5 mins later she will be climbing the wall's.
When we went to see the specialist he gave us a list of good foods and bad.
Half the stuff we could understand.
                Blue coloring in sweets wow!
But sweet corn was on the list to.
So we put this to the test, well basickly found out she could run on the ceilings after a hit of corn !!!

I know a little off topic, but just don't want people going the wrong way with this

Lets be right its not sugar that is bad for you its the amount some people use, to much water will kill you.

As has been said moderation in all things. Except fresh strawberries, oh and fresh double cream, oh and fillet steak with a fine red.

Think I will go and lie down.

Yea but with 10grams of sugar in coke that could have been the cause.
I'm am assuming you mean the drink not the powder.

As flat as my tummy will allow. and if I lay on my back I have the same problem with another part of my anatomy.

Which every way I is like a seesaw.

My lad, bless his little cottons, is never still nor quiet...and other than the odd evening at 6:30, I've convinced them it's 8:30...I'd have it no other way. His huge and utterly big no no is anything orange, even orange juice can send him a little mad...squash,fizzy orange, orange sweets, even the cheap bright yellow(OK not orange) ice cream send him absolutely mad. My parents thought I was just following a trend and making it up...until they got him a fanta on an otherwise perfect weekend. He went from being chatty and lively to leap frogging all the tables in the cafe garden!
BUT, strangely, coke/caffiene have the opposite effect. It's incredibly rare that I let them have fizzy drinks, and the first time he asked for coke I really did panic, ten minutes later, the most chilled I've evr known him.(other than asleep or poorly)

Goes to show, we is all so different.
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx
