  • strawerry plant in flower!!

I was just clearing the leaves from around my strawberry patch and discovered 2 strawberry flowers- and a strawberry turning red!!!!...how bizzare is that????? ( I've promptly smothered them in leaves to protect from frost tonight!)

    Anyone else????

My little Alpine are still in flower and producing a small amount of fruit, a friend gave me a pink flowering strawberry plant and that's doing the same....very bizarre. No doubt "Jack Frost" will be along soon and spoil all the fun

Mine have had a 2nd flush too: I got a few handfuls of alpines the other day (don't like them though, too fiddly) and the odd fat pink big type too

On my patio I have a tomato plant that is still flowering and 3 tomatillo plants that are going crazy, they're covered in flowers. Probably won't come to anything but I'm going to move them into the greenhouse to see how long they can last.

Mine are flowering, and fruiting, but they're a perpetual variety (Flamenco) so they're supposed to be The ordinary Alice, Florence and Honeoye aren't flowering, just getting a few new leaves.

Not strawberries, though they are in the same planter...
...my corriander (previously thought completely dead - the seeds are just about dry and ready for harvest now) has flowered again. I noticed it today. Nice to see, if a little late.

Aren't strawberries distantly related to roses? We often get roses blooming in November, so strawberries might have the same tendencies.
