  • Strange thing to say to a consultant!

Hi all, gotta share this, it was really funny (at the time!)

Mr D has hurt his ankle, its come up in a lump on the tendon, well, we went to casualty, and were sent thru to see a consultant, who diagnosed a partially torn ligament, which means physio first and if that doesnt work, then he may have to have it plastered for 8 weeks!

Not good, however, the reply from the ever laconic Mr D...............

'Oh, ok, I'd better get me spuds in early then hadnt I?!'

I dont think the consultant knew what to make of it!! Lol!

    Anyone else done anything similar??
    Blessings

Seems like a perfectly reasonable comment to me!

LOL! When I was told I had another 3 weeks of my feet, my first comment was "oh no, that's into seed sowing time!" The fella did look very bemused... But you've got to think of these things haven't you?

Tell Dobby to do exactly as he's told I hope the physio works, and if not, does he want some wool and some knitting needles....?

Couldn't you rig up something like a bin-bag over the plaster? Seems a shame to deprive him.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

                  That sounds like Doby

When some Grapes were meeting up at the Dunblane Tattie Fayre in the pub I took a bag of grapes to put on the table so that we could find each other.
Standing at the entrance to the Fayre holding the grapes in front of me the woman selling the tickets asked how I knew about the Fayre . I said "A Grape told me"

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

LOL when I need ops on my ankles or knees, I always say that it cannot interrupt my growing season........they can have me from end of october till feb but thats it!! The looks you get, as if your mad (secretly they dont really realise I am quite mad lol).

Its quite a natural thing for us lottie holders to think of!

lol, if the chap isn't a grower then it's no wonder he looked confused... it sounds perfectly reasonable to the rest of us!
