  • Strange Message!

Are there any other grapes getting this message when there moving from one page to another on the same thread

" Prefetching is not allowed due to the various privacy issues that arise "

I'm not trying to go into area's that I'm not allowed into, just from say page 1 to page 2, 3 or 4 and so on.

I'm also getting the same message when I'm searching through social groups and trying to get onto the last post on some of the threads, I'm just finding it a bit annoying now because it's not on all the thread's

It's to do with a Firefox plug in I believe; I get it at work when I am going in through the Grapevine Forum search on google; but if I bookmark one page and go in through that I don't get it.

I'm on Google Chrome, also Internet Explorer Browsers, will that make any difference?

I don't think it is a Vine problem though - it's the browser. Have you googled it and your browser name to see what it is?

I think it is caused by Google Toolbar - if you un-install the google toolbar it may stop happening.

Google Toolbar is a "free" (ie unwanted/un-needed) extra that get installed along with many other things you download.

I've never come across that problem, just wish I knew what 'prefetching' meant?

I have Google Toolbar on IE (because I like it) and I don't have this glitch... I don't have it while using Chrome either. Have you tried logging out of the Vine, and then logging back in so that it clears all your cookies? Might be worth a try.
