Innovative Newton. I use Wilko labels - I think they're about 99p a packet and if you use pencil they can be reused again and again until they disintegrate. I've never had a Starbucks coffee, I lead a very sheltered life.

I've used the chip forks as labels - the prongs are good for sticking in the soil!

They are long and thin. Don't forget to pick up your free coffee grinds whilst there. Motorway service areas are best as they usually serve a lot and have loads of grinds, plus too busy to notice a guy helping himself to a huge haul of lolly sticks

You can normally find them littered all along the lanes around here. Perhaps the paper cups could be used for pots too?

Surprising given that I live ten miles from a McDonalds....though A Starbucks has opened up in the local town...I however would not wish to visit it.

I make plant labels by cutting up all manner of packaging...particularly icecream boxes...the long winter evenings just fly by!

I find the coffee stirrers too thin (it's an age & eyesight thing), I like the idea of the wooden forks from the chippy.

I use ice lolly sticks, collected through the year. It's not hard with two little ones and Mr R, who's not adverse to a post-work Magnum. I also use coloured craft sticks from tesco - very vibrant colours, handy for colour-coding and look attractive. They're about a quid for 50 and the same size as lolly sticks.
