Used to go to the pub down the road and have a pint with my mate, but he was made redundant a few weeks ago so can't do it now.

    Might have a Guinness tonight.

Have a can of the black stuff waiting for this evening!
Perhaps I should give the new girls I'm going to get today names with an Irish feel?

    Happy St Paddy's day
Not been in Ireland on the 17th, but used to live in USA and they make a big thing of St Patrick's Day.

Goin to a very good Irish pub with mates (who are Irish) probably drinking far too many Bushmills and singing far too many versions of Danny Boy!

Happy St. Patrick's day to all. Will be off to the parade shortly. Won't be drowning the shamrock as i gave up the booze for lent but will enjoy the day anyway. There's a real holiday feel in the city so just to be there and feel the atmosphere is great.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I've only recently surfaced and am still recovering from a "boys night out" last night, but this afternoon I will be planting potatoes and this evening no doubt some Guinness will be consumed.

Whilst we're on songs, I think we'll probably get out the Leprachaun my dad bought back from his last visit 'home' (Norn Iron).

You squeeze his fiddle and he sings the first couple of lines from the chorus of When Irish Eyes Are Smiling:

    When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing.

Bean and his little girlfriend quite happily sway/bounce when it's playing.
