Cool, well done for having the patience. I have long nails but rarely get round to putting varnish on them!

I have long nails too, but have only ever tried nail varnish once. Never again, I think I will stick to gardening. It's safer

I used to wear nail varnish a lot, and then I got a dog...

It's hard to put nail varnish on with a Boxer on your knee trying to eat the polish

It's even harder waiting for your nails to dry if there's a dog around, as they end up covered in hair (or the dog end up with polish streaks on him!)

Yeah, I think Nick would probably admit to wearing the odd bit of varnish! lol!

I used to do my nails a couple of times a week, beautifully manicured long nailks and well painted, but dont seem to have the time to do it anymore, plus the dog problems, plus when gardening nails seem to get broken, so although I do try and keep them long, they arent anywhere near as 'pretty' as they used to be!

Mind you, still long enough to give Mr D's back a good scratch!

Mine look a bit like that from a distance, it's the cow manure that does it!

Default Tip

Never hardly do it myself, because I'm too busy to sit still and do girlie stuff, but if you ever do get the time girls, it really is worth putting a clear nail strengthener varnish on when you can. Huge difference in strength of nails !

Note to self: Take own advice. Client's wedding in ten weeks. Try harder.

Hey, love the nail effects! Snadger, me too!

However much you try, Wellie, it'll be the day before the wedding that you snag the lot!! Suggest you book yourself a visit to Ellasmum the day before!

Well that's one way Bubblewrap!!
I just can't even get half decent nails as my acid soil makes them so brittle, and I hate weeding in waterproof gloves.
No chance for me ...farm labourers hands here!!!)
