  • Sooo excited!

Surely we can't be the only ones counting the minutes until Doctor Who tomorrow night?

Can't wait to see whether my predictions for the end will be right (probably not!) so will content myself with the boxed sets for now...well they're the children's really but they need supervision when they're watching (they do! honest!)

Yeah I can't wait either. His severed hand has got something to do with it!I think he's staying as it's a red herring!

Me too! It was a glancing blow that the Dalek dealt him - one of the companions will sacrifice herself to save him...plus DT was filming the Christmas special in Gloucester not so long ago (swoon)

Not that I'm a sad person at all

Besides, I think he was just giving Jack an excuse to grab Rose and Donna in a "comforting" way.

It is the character of Rose who has the special affinity with the Doctor and the Tardis - she absorbed the strength of the Tardis and had to return it after giving eternal existence to Capt Jack - perhaps a little is retained?

I think there are sufficient hints that Jack is perhaps the Face of Bo?

And that the only way the Doctor and Rose might be 'as one' is if the Doctor were to be killed corporeally that Rose might offer herself as host to a dying Doctor? So far the doctor hasn't died just regenerated.

Yes the severed hand of the doctor does still seem to be alive and I'm sure one day will play an important part.

There is also the aspect that 'wifey' or 'closey' to another future Doctor has almost certainly surfaced and sacrificed herself.

The Xmas episode has what spoiler sites describe as the 'other' Doctor. Looks like it could be a kind of Xmas Carol type story?

Oh for heaven's sake its a story - but what a great one! I love it.

What you reckon that maybe The Doctor will become immortal like Captain Jack and will then have unlimitrd regenerations!!!ooooohhhhhhh.

                Oh My God!

                That was fantastic!

Slight shame that they felt the need to 'marry' Rose off, but what a great ending. I am a happy woman (don't tell OH)

                Can't wait until Christmas now

Fantastic finale. Russell T tidied up all the loose ends neatly before signing off. The Dr free again of all ties and relationships, wonder if it will be Dr and Daughter next?

Thank all that is Gallifreyian that Donna has gone. Mind you, never liked Rose either much, too pathetic.

Next series or the specials? Bring back Romana and The Rani.

I thought it was a bit of a cop-out & not as good as the week before but I still enjoyed watching it , specially as Capt. Jack was in it. Do you think Martha & Rose's ex boyfriend are going to join Torchwood? I just hope the rumours that James Nesbitt could be the next Doctor are wrong, I can't stand him.

There is no next doctor yet. There won't be for at least 12-18 months. Mickey and Martha are joining Torchwood, with a bit of luck one of them will accidentally shoot Gwen!

One thing is for definate, Robert Carlyle will not be the next Dr. He has played too many psycho's to be considered.
Those who may be in the running should DT decide to go (ok inside info here......) are. Kris Marshall, Julian Rind-Tutt and Rupert Penry-Jones. As DT is signed up for the specials next year and there has been no decision on a series proper yet, it is all up in the air.

As for Torchwood, that will be a 5 episode 1 week only series due to funding and actors commitments to other shows etc.
There is no official line as to whether it will be BBC1 pre-watershed or no, that decision has NOT been made as they haven't even started filming TW3 yet. (They start August and with John Barrowman's antics, probably finish in 2020!)
RTD has now left Dr. Who, replaced by Stephen Moffat as co-head honcho to Julie Gardiner.

I can't say anymore as a friend could lose their job if anymore was told.

Thanks for the info Starchild. I'm a bit upset that we're only going to get 5 episodes of Torchwood, but it's better than none I suppose. I hope the standard of Doctor Who doesn't go down now Russell T Davies is going, he's what's made the revived show work along with great choices of actors for the Doctor. I could see Julian playing the Doctor, I loved him in Green Wing, not sure about the other two, Kris Marshall is too 'wimpy' in the BT ads & has been in some awful comedies although I have seen him in meatier roles in films & I don't know much about the other guy. Keep us up to date, I'm sure you can put your friend up in the spare room if they get fired!
