Hope his eye is OK.

Broken nose adds to character - I broke mine in a car crash when I was 4 (a LONG time ago when they didn't fix them) and it hasn't harmed me.

Tell him he needs to do like I did and take up a safe sport - in my case motor racing ......

He has just rung me to say he has to be back at the hospital for 9am tomorrow morning to see the eye dept and he will have to have an operation on his nose in the next week or so. He has a large dent in it. His face is swollen and he looks a mess he says. Early start for me then.

Hope he is ok.
At least he didn`t break his the way I broke mine last year. A juke box fell off a wall in a pub and smacked me right on the nose. I was emptying it at the time, it had been up for over 2 years and it just fell off the wall.

Fingers crossed for the morning Jackie, hope it's all ok. DD played inline roller hockey at Uni - she was the only girl and they were all at least twice her size. She survived unscathed, she did wear helmet/mask, but she did break an opponents nose. (Her own nose was broken several years before, playing basketball). Kids!

A lad I work with play`s roller hockey, he`s always coming to work aching, but no broken bones yet. The office managers husband is the coach for the Leicester team and one of his son`s played for England the other year in Canada.

Upshot is he has to have an operation to repair his nose and more than likely have a metal plate fitted to hold it all together, as he has a cut across the bridge of his nose they will use this as the entry point. Hopefully this will be done this thursday if someone else is taken off the list which is very likely as the other person has other health issues that also need dealing with first.
He looks a right mess so much so that he doesnt want to see his son for a while in case it frightens him. Two lovely black eyes, a broken nose and lots of bruising to his face.
