  • So what have you been doing with your bank hols?

As above really, how have you all been spending your bank holiday weekend/s.

Me personally, last bank holiday monday I had a very dear friend over to celebrate her beating cancer

This weekend, I have been sanding hubbys car down and repairing bodywork on it. My fingers hurt But it makes him happy and keeps him outside for longer which all helps.

Hi Jax! "Pootling" is a good word to describe what I've been doing! A little housework, a little gardening, a lot of resting. Back to work tomorrow after 11 days, so a reality check I'm afraid. Another BH to look forward to in a few weeks time. Good to hear of your celebration BTW and that you're encouraging the therapy with your OH.

Been pootling like Flo. Had two of the grandsons for sleepovers (separately thank goodness). Just back from the lottie where I managed to break one of the tines off my stainless steel fork My own fault for trying to use it as a lever

          Nowt much really:-

          Knocked a wall down
          Filled a skip
          Loads of gardening
          Chook wars with Sid!
          Took the dog swimming
And to top it off, expanded the bank holiday to go trout fishing tomorrow when it quietens down!

Went with Fi and Angie (Selfraising) to the Grow Your Own show at Loseley, Guildford. Had a great morning out, the best bacon butty ever, spent a bit of money and then come home. We had coffee in the garden and then I showed of the allotment. They have now gone home and I am pootling in the garden too, just come in for a cuppa before going back out. All together a lovely day.

I have spent the BH doing gardening stuff, got 3 snazzy working cameras at a boot fair this morning for 50p each [Kodak Brownie, A 1951 Italian one and another Box camera which is fully loaded and ready for tonight's photo session at Elvaston Castle], potting on toms and peppers and selecting which ones to give away this week [friends, MR Z's friends, work and school], watering the seeds at the lottie [poor things], and mainly trying to find out whether tomorrow's early meeting is on and I've just found out it isn't - WAHEY!!! So I can get off to Cov and do some [more] gardening - yippee!

In between sobbing my socks off (I'm an employer) I have been in the garden 'doing a bit', then a glass of wine, then a bit more 'doing a bit'.

SWMBO was at work this morning so for 'brownie points' do the washing up, hoover and general tidy round, get the tea ready and finally greet her at the door with a.........glass of wine.

Worried that my blowaways left half open for the entire weekend had blown away. Thankfully they hadn't.

Alls well in the garden. My first chilli fruit is over an inch long. Yippee.
