Totally tropic here - tropical storms that is..... Not heard them mention the heat wave to the TV for a bit now either, just seems to have slipped away.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

......we lit the coal fire yesterday!!

There's no other heating on, and it was freezing.

Yes it is quite cold though. I wrote in my diary "feels and looks like autumn out there"

We're having a lovely summer - for this part of the world, that is! Lots of sun, and rain about once a week. (Could do with more of this to ease the watering load!) It's usually we who are envying your heatwave! Nice to have it the other way round for a change.
The El Nino will be upon us soon - Pacific Ocean temps are on the up - so goodness knows what we are going to get in the coming 12 months!

I've just got back from a good ole Summer's Holiday in good ole Blighty, did much raindrop dodging and blasted on the sea front then spent 6 hours doing a 3 hour journey from visiting Cheddar Gorge. Stuck in Bath and then an hour or so doing the two interchanges around Oxford - strewth..........

The heatwave should arrive in Staffordshire on the 25 July and last until the 8 August as that's when we'll be away on holiday.

Just had four days of storms after a month or so of very hot weather and no rain at all. Still a bit grey and overcast and a couple of showers this morning but looking better for next week tho the temperatures are still low for this time of the year.

Water butts now very full thank you
