Ha! I recall posting at 3am the night before I got my chooks. It's the closest an adult can get to the feeling of a kid on Christmas Eve.

so am i lol

the 3 of them have been tucking into brekkie and the 2 little ones have been playing i can get on to a branch higher than pingu this morning ... till she jumps higher than them and pushes them off that is

... wonders if bernie can make it till 4.30 lol

Wish I could come earlier. DH coming with me and he's playing golf at the moment. I'm off out into the garden now to put the finishing touches to the house and run

Hi Shirl! Lynda gave me three girls - light sussex x rhoes island reds? Lynda did tell me, but I keep forgetting!

Firstly there is Kay - she is a brown, beautifully marked young lay, the second is Fanny - mainly white with a couple of brown feathers on her wings - she is the escape artist - once today with 3 other attempts - then finally Clarissa - a mainly white but with lots of lovely black markings - in other words KFC! we couldn't resist! Mind you, after a party last night, the girls names are the more sensible of the ones suggested! Use your imagination!

They are lovely, sweet birds and very inquisitive. I love them all and cant wait to get to know them more.

PS If Drew would tell me how, I'd put some photos on the Vine - shall do so as soon as I can!
