  • And so it all starts again.....

Firstly apologies to our resident pedants. Yes, I know I shouldn't start a sentence with "and"

I just got a warm fuzzy feeling. The onions and garlic I planted a week or so back are starting to show through. The new growing season has started before the old one is finished. Ain't nature grand?

Feeling all earth motherly and mystical now

What do you lot have coming out now?

*wanders off singing the circle of life, and assorted lion kings tunes.....

Got that song stuck in my head now.
My onions are showing through too. Same with the chinese veg and spinach (Waves to seedswap grapes!).

Fiona, I know you're just trying to wind me up, what with your misplaced apostrophes, lack of capital letters for names, spelling (!) ...

It is true you know, I stay awake at night thinking of ways to upset you with grammatical errors

To return to the point, what you got growing?

I have onions and garlic coming along nicely. I am pretty sure my pumpkin plant has grown another 6 inches while I was away for a couple of days! and I have courgettes, marrows and a pumpkin fruit growing nicely (hope they carry on for a while). Also the various beans I grew from seeds supplied by Two_Sheds are cropping marvellously at the moment.

I just put my onions and garlic in yesterday, and then Naitch* kindly sent a little shower to water them in My spring cabbages, calabrese, PSB, savoys, swedes and leeks are all looking nice and healthy too.

*Naitch being shorthand for Mother Nature, courtesy of my friend's son. I like it

If all goes to pot, I mean plan, then my garlic should go in the ground today‽

My Chinese cabbage still don't look like the picture on the packet but they are starting to heart up. Home grown leeks, parsnips and kale to go with dinner tonight

Just read through this thread, and the quote above caught my eye. Oh dear, I thought, please not someone trying to upset us oldies. Then I read the rest of the thread, and I'm assuming it's a jest about the pedants. As for what's growing, not much, apart from the b***** weeds!! Been so dry even the lawn's given up. However, I've started garlic and onions in celltrays and they're sprouting well. Hoping to get them on the lottie as soon as it stops being a dustbowl.

I was simply chuffed to have new things sprouting up in the patch

No, there's been a couple of punctuation threads in the last few days...Fi is just humouring us/them.

Back on topic - I'm still patiently waiting for my beds to clear for another 200 onions and 10 or so garlics to go in. I think I'll pop them into some trays as well whilst the beans take their time.

Must have missed them, been a bit busy lately!! OK, I'm one of those people who can spell (hence I play a lot of online scrabble if anyone's interested), but I certainly aren't pedantic about it. I think the content of the posts is much more important than the grammar.
