  • Small Home Office Ideas Please.

I've been racking my brain as to how I can fit an office into my back bedroom while still leaving room for a futon single bed. It has a sliding door on the outside already and a window on the 7' end.
The measurements are 7' wide by 9' long as you can see it's only small. I was thinking of going with this kind of idea (see photo below), but any input from you ever helpful grapes would be very much appreciated. I need room for my laptop, printer, shredder and an area to keep my work folders, printer inks, paper. & a small lamp.

    Thanks in advance.

I can't find exactly the one I have in the catalogue, and yours looks a lot more grown up than mine, but this one is a similar one from Ikea

I'm with taff, if you have an Ikea nearby, it's well worth a visit. There's one on M621 J27. Or simply go to their website.

Just an afterthought GN, if you do go down the Ikea route, think outside the box. Check out their kitchen, bathroom & bedroom shelving. Don't just look @ computer stations.

Also, Ikea do cheap(ish) but nice store boxes / folders etc for the office.

Not sure if you're going down the equipment route as well but if you can afford to get a wireless printer you don't necessarily have to have it in the same room. My printer is in the utility room but use a laptop so have that in any room. Plus it would save on messy wires even if they are in the same room - something that makes anything nice look messy (imo)
