  • Six month quit.......

As some of you know, one of my reasons for joining the vine was to help me quit my ciggy addiction. Well thank you to each & everyone of you, 6 months today................. Wow! how time flies.I could not have done it without you guys & I know it will mean nothing to those who have never smoked but it means everything to me knowing that I have good friends around. Thanks again.

        Well done BM...

Have you replaced fag addiction with seed addiction though? It can happen..

Yay, well done BM!! I know just how tough it is - and now you are totally nicotine free. And as for those little cravings and niggling feelings - you have proved you can deal with those! You have won.

That's always the way, BM - the weight is far less dangerous than the fags. I gave myself full permission to gain weight when I stopped and boy did I take advantage of that offer!
You already have some good strategies to use: work out when you are most vulnerable and distract yourself. I find digging is helping at the moment! Mind you I am much less successful at weightloss than stopping smoking so who am I to talk?

                        6 months already????...wow - well done matey!!

OK- so next question is...how much £ have you saved - and what little treat are you going to reward yourself with for doing so well??? ( you certainly should celebrate that 1/2 year milestone!!)

And so...you joined the Vine to quit smoking???..so....have you picked up any gardening tips on the way????

That's great BM, six months is a real achievement. The accompanying weight gain is a bummer, but as Jeanie says the digging will help. Try to be aware of when you are compensating for the ciggies by eating; recognising the pattern will help you to change it. Maybe we'll see you on another thread soon.....?

A huuuuuuge WELL DONE MATE from me too!

Now, do you have any words of encouragement for Mr. G? He keeps saying he's going to try and give up. But he doesn't even try.
