    Does anyone have one?
I have had mine about a week, and although I LOVE the idea, the practicalities are driving me bonkers. I spend ages trying to get the darn thing wound up properly and it doesn't go right, then I can't open the door cos it's in the way and GRRRRRRRRRRRR
told you I was grumpy today!

Aah - I [hope I] know what you are talking about. We've got one in the bathroom, but it's broken - I have been meaning to get another one as we have really high ceilings and it would be really good to get stuff out of the way.

I would want an original one, and have looked on line - but didn't know the name.

      Now I do!

      Many thanks

Yes please do. I though we were talking about cleaners at first but obviously not.

In days gone bye I had one. We just called it a pulley.
Works a treat for drying washing when there's no other way.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I made a wrought iron thingy something like that as a pan holder. I was sick of opening the cupboard door and being buried in pans!

We have one in our utility room (which I have to admit is quite large being the former kitchen of the house). I dry all my laundry on it during the winter as I refuse to have a tumble dryer. I wouldn't be without it, but pulling it up sometimes with a full load of washing fairly strengthens the ol biceps!

my granny used a pulley until about 2 years ago when it had to go because she couldn't pull it up anymore. when we get a new house with a utility room I am definately going to have one because I can't stand having washing hanging around in every room and on all the radiators. the pulley is great because it is high up adn out of the way.
