  • Settle an argument

a major crisis in the house this morning (apparently), run out of marmalade
So I said there is jam in the fridge. According to he who knows everything nobody eats jam on toast for breakfast. So who is right? Me or him

    1. Women are always right
    2. Jam on toast for breakfast is a perfectly normal, natural thing

So out of curiousity, when and how does your other half believe jam should be eaten?

P.S We are talking fruit jam and not chilli?

Don't encourage SP. If this argument gets too heated she might decide OH is a tart and stick the jam somewhere

Another vote for jam on toast!

Surely, marmalade is a jam, just one made from oranges

I like marmite. Haven't had any on toast for ages. The other thing I like on toast is Roses Lemon and Lime marmalade. My nan use to love that stuff and its the only marmalade I like.
Of course this argument brings into the question about eggs on toast for breakfast.

I like both. Currently on blackberry jelly. And because Mum's raised us with her odd Scandi ways, jam on cheese on toast is also marvellous.

Yummy marmite, i think i have decided what to have for breakfast.
Jam on toast, on scones, in cakes, why not especially if its homemade.
