Default Seed Packets .....grrrrrr

Is it just me ( probably)
Nice new packet of seeds, nice ground to sow them in.
Then I have to try and open the packet!!!!
I tear or cut the top of the packet, now the name of seeds has gone, still cant get in because of the 'display rack hole' is still sealed, so I tear a little further down the packet, still not far enough....a little more, half the instructions have now disappeared.
What is the best way???
I have cut the bottoms but not good as I like to store seed packets 'right way up' - pictures on the front of packets are nice!
Is it just me?

I like to keep the packs 'whole' too, HF.

I use a letter opener across the top (for normal packet this is all it takes) but for the ones with the hold in for the display rack, still use the letter opener but 'wriggle it around' a bit. If you're careful, your can ease the pack apart.

I normally open them at the bottom to save all the destructions, and store them upside down!

Yes, I've found I have to open from the bottom as well -not ideal, but keeps the packet intact.

The thought of Madasafish & Hazel "Wiggling around " carefully or not sets the imagination going

I use scissors and only cut 2/3rds of the way across, all the writing is saved and I don't usually have a problem acessing the seed.

I cut the bottom and then sellotape it back up again so I can store it "right way up"
