Anyone see this last night. Wasn't Jim's project great? For those that didn't see it. Jim lives in an a small town that has become very run down after the coal pit closed. Jim bought a big plot of land as an investment and then decided to use it to see up a project to help give local kids something to do. His land was made into allotments for the kids to attend to and had animal such as chickens and rabbits etc. Jim spends his time teaching the kids mainly boys about looking after animals and growing veg. He was given £13000 so he could get new sheds, fencing and pigs. He reckoned that once he'd got everthing he needed it would only cost £1000 a year to run.
What a great idea, an what a generous guy using land he'd bought himself and giving up so much time to help give the kids something to do rather than hanging around street corner.
