Sitting here staring at the poota scared stiff about my mum. She got diagnosed with CLL about 13 years ago and has never really had any problems with it until this summer. Her white cells have shot up and her red cells have dropped and she has been on chemo for a few months. Tomorrow she is going for her third transfusion since the summer , shes gone off her food so hasn't been eating and as well as the breathlessness has no energy. I,m really hoping that this new lot of blood helps get her back on her feet cos she's usually a tough sort who just gets on with things.
Sorry to post this when it should be happy stuff at this time of year but It helps me to write things down.

I do hope that your mum feels more like her old self when she's had the transfussion, Binley - I'm sure that more medically minded grapes will be along with more practical info/assurance (I'm afraid that I don't know what CLL is), but it must be a worry for you, and you and your family are in my thoughts.

Sorry, no idea what CLL is (and am guessing you'd rather not too) but hope it all goes OK. Sometimes the treatment takes a lot out of people and it's not until after it's finished that you can start recovering.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

CLL is a form of leukemia (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) which apparently you acn have for years and not even know.
