    Salad time!

    Who else has been enjoying the salads again now the good times are back? There is nothing better than sitting outdoors in the sun, with a nice bowl of fresh salad.

    Just had some home grown salad leaves, garlic chives, chive flowers, basil and parsley mixed with some bought in cucumber, apple, raisins, seeds, flax seed and basil infused tofu with a home made dressing of lemon olive oil, strawberry balsamic vinegar and honey.

        I like lots of different lettuce, rocket, spinach etc., tomatoes, cucumber, celery and grapes with lots of mayo!

            I love Salad Nicoise, but my favourite is Caesar Salad with lashings of C@rdini's Caesar dressing. Like Flo, I like loads of different leaves in my salad, too.

                a crispy green salad with basil and raspberry dressing *swoons*.


                Or greek salad with really crumbly feta and really juicy olives

                or a salad with lots of tomato and mint; golden just-crispy haloumi and a drizzle of lime.

                  If I had salad outside today it would end up somewhere over the rainbow .

                  But normally I love nothing better than a herby salad with lot's of rocket, mint, tarragon, red mustard, blood leaves, sweet basil, mizuna, pak choy with my own honey dressing. This salad is yummy with fish, meat or a nice selection of cheese.

                  SIMPLE HONEY DRESSING


                  Balsamic Vinegar.
                  Olive Oil.
                  Salt & Pepper.
                  Runny Honey.

                  Place as much of the ingredients you want in a small jam jar, shake and serve... Simples. Will keep in the fridge for quite a while.

                      Any or all the above, but excluding the Mint - disgusting stuff!

                      I love adding anchovies to either of my favourites, and the leaves MUST include wild rocket!

                      Incidentally, slightly off topic, but relevant; I HAAAAAAATE H€llm@n's Mayonnaise, it's like paint. *Pukes* Does anyone know where I can buy D&L Mayo? It's the best in the world!
