  • Rotavator Engine

Just joined the forum, introduced myself and my first post with a question (don't know if this is the right place)
I recently aquired a old Rotavator which I believe to be a Landmaster 85 fitted with a ASPERA 3HP engine. The engine runs well but a good service for next spring wouldn't go amiss. I've found a hand book on the net for the rotavator but cannot find a worshop manual on the engine. Looked in all the usual places but to no avail. Identification numbers on a label mount are:-
HL30/91211 and underneath 1358519. Does anyone have a workshop manual for this engine which I could beg, steal, borrow and photo copy? I will gladly pay for any expences incurred. Or if you know somewhere I could obtain a copy, I would be very gratefull.

Looking around it looks like you have an engine that goes under differant names, this is another you could try TECUMSEH

        Rotavator HL30/91211 (Rotavator Landmaster 85)

Hello Graham, Its been quite some time since you posted about your Aspera engine. In case you still look at this page?

I have just aquired the same model, and at the moment I don't know if it runs. i'm just working on it as it looks like it hasn't been used for 50 years.

Just wondering if you got anywhere with your request for service/ engine info? Also have you located a good source for spares? I would be interested to know if you have fitted any alternate parts as the Aspera has nothing listed for it, or not much and nothing in the UK?

As far as identity. The Aspera engine i think was originally designed by Ducati and then licensed out. Aspera also known as Tecnamotor.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone with knowledge about this engine. Aspera HL30/91211

        Thanks
        The Kid

He's not visited since November 2009 so I think your chances are slim.
