    Ring My Bell

    Will you be ringing a bell at 20:12? Only heard about it this morning. As a celebration of the Olympics we're all invited to ring a bell. I wondered why I'd been hearing our local church bells this week, they must have been practising. I'll be at work, so the only thing I'll be able to do is to telephone someone

    I've disconnected my door bell as I'm decorating / doing work in the house.. would do otherwise

        The official site says 8.12 which sounds like someone had a great idea, someone else ran with it and got it a bit wrong and then no one had the guts to point out the error.
        The opening ceremony is at 9pm so getting the country in the mood shortly before by ringing bells would have been good.

              There must be a knot in my intravenus enthusiasm drip.

              I'll be glad when it's all over. Will the politicians be working overtime to pay back the time wasted by posing anywhere with anything and everything with a lens?

                When I saw the title, I thought hello hello, FF is a bit forward at the old companion planting business.....

                Well I missed it, surely if the powers to be had been a bit more savvy they would have started this evenings proceedings at 20:12 not 21:00, another missed opportunity me thinks!!
                I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

                    yes they did all over,but is also tonight as well,am sure thats what i heard on local radio,a google says the same
