  • Right, I'll be off then.

Looks as though grandson number two can't wait until tomorrow, when he will be considered full-term, and is about to make his appearance today when he's still officially premature. So I'm off to look after Grandson number one for the duration. Thanks for keeping me amused today while I waited for definite news, it's certainly stopped me pacing and wearing a track through the carpet. I'll keep you posted.

Enjoy your one on one time with your grandson - is he looking forward to having a baby brother? Hope number two arrives safe and well.

      Hope it all goes well.

My son decided to arrive 2½ weeks early - robbing me of the same amount of maternity 'holiday'! We laugh about it to this day. And even though they didn't know it at the time my place of work called for assistance when he was only 2 days old.

We'll be standing by for news bluemoon.

I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Thanks All. Little Jack arrived at 10:50pm Friday, making him 'officially' premature by an hour and ten minutes. This meant he had to remain in hospital to have a series of blood-tests done. I know they have to have a cut-off point somewhere, but it's seriously frustrating - more for my daughter, who was itching to get home - when you just fall short of it. Still it gave me more time with Grandson number one. Mum and baby are home now and, along with Dad and a very proud big Brother, are doing well. Might have known that Lynda would out-do me though and have 2 born on the same day. Still at least we can remind each other to buy cards and prezzies when the 22nd comes round next year.
