sorry to winge but I need a moan,
Bob was made redundant yesterday. (Empire direct)
    such bad timing.
looks like Ill have to back to work when sprout is 6 weeks old and even then I dont know how we'll manage.
feeling very sad and trying to keep it from bob trying to stay positive and all that.

    anyone got any jobs going?

I am so sorry to hear that, there is nothing i can say that will make it better for you. What you need to do is see what help you can get re benefits and support re child care for your baby should you need it. If you have a children's centre locally they will be able to tell you what you are entitled to and who to speak to, to get it.
Sorry i can't do any more. You have every right to feel so sad and you can moan all you blomin well like. Take care all of you.

Sorry to hear that. My friend is in a similar boat - she's been made redundant whilst pregnant, so after maternity leave, she's stuffed. Bad times we live in, at the mo. Hope Bob finds something.

Oh... What a sh*tty thing to happen Big (((Hugs))) to you both.
But you might be grateful for the extra support when Sprout arrives, and hopefully some oppurtunity will arise for Bob before you have to go back to work. We've been in this position ourself, and Jez has managed to go on to better things from it, although it was a struggle at the time.
Fingers crossed for you honey, try and enjoy having him around.

Sorry to hear your news, I dont know if it will help considering the times we live in at the moment, get him to put his name down with all the agencys he can, Its what my OH did and has benefitted from it as his wages were so low at the time. He now goes to them whenever he is looking for work.
Good luck and big Hugs to you both.

Make sure you claim everything you possibly can, you can do most of it on the phone now. Contact the mortgage lender asap, and make sure you claim on any insurances you have. If your families offer to help, accept it!

I'm sure it'll work out honey, it just all seems so daunting when it first happens.

I am so sorry to hear your news.

Try and enjoy the positive things, i.e. having him around. Have you got other moral support near; friends and family who you know you can count on (other than us of course!) It is important to spend time together to chat during these times, go for walks as that doesnt cost a penny. Get Bobs cv on that new job site thats being advertised on the telly. Come on here as often as possible to ofload as thats what we are here for.

Love to you (((((HUGS))))), Bob (give him a (((HUG))) from me) and Sprout - bigs kisses.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Very sorry to hear this, I know what it's like as I was made redundant in December. Follow the advice on here, but above all, support each other, he will be feeling awful now (thoughts of letting you down etc.) but with a loving partner beside him getting a new / better job will be a lot easier.
                          Love to you both.

Chin up hun, you will both be there to enjoy sprouts first weeks in the world.

I went back to work 6 weeks after Aranthos was born and only 4.5 weeks after the second one (coz he was late and my employers wouldn't let me have any extra time). I didn't want to go back but Madmax wasn't in very good jobs at the time so there was no choice. It all worked out okay in the end.
                            Happy Gardening,
