  • Recommend a dehydrator!

Im thinking of buying a dehydrator but unsure what to get the price range is so wide and I dont want something thats rubbish and I dont want something that will break after 3 dryings so has anyone got one that they love or hate so I know what direction to go!

I think it will mostly be used on chillies but anything else will depend on the produce from my first allotment season

    Thanks for the responses

You don't actually need a dehydrator to dry chillies. I string mine and hang them in the window. stringing chili peppers to dry - Google Search

Oh wow never knew you could do that!

Once the chillies have made a chain they look pretty cool too

I have a Stokli. I am very happy with mine but it is quite expensive and I'm not sure if it is any better than the cheaper ones. I have the one with a timer but, for me, it isn't worth the extra because I like to make sure that it is turned off at night anyway.

I use mine for drying loads of things but mostly beef for dog treats. I dry apple slices, herbs, tomatoes and I make my own fruit leather but I cheat and use the apple and (whatever - usually strawberry) fruit purée from Lidl

I wouldn't be without mine now.
