  • A rather interesting bath time..

If you weren't aware, I own a little Jack Russell cross Pug ("Jug") called Roxy, and for the past year (come November 17th) I've been charting her exploits both in and outside of the house.

Now I'm sure many of you have tales to tell about bathing dogs (and how often it can be a nightmare), but I wonder how many of them have allowed you to create a new and - lets be honest fabulous - hairstyle for them?

Why does she always look hard done too?! Ah well.. So anyway, once she's had her bath, we took her to her bed to have a little warm up session with the fan heater (it's a favourite past time for her) and she proceeded to attack the bed!

Brilliant! My Oscar loves my bath time, too. He usually ends up covered in bubbles. As does the entire bathroom!

He's not too impressed at his bath time though!

Enjoyed watching the parrot TS, it's very obvious that she trusts you completely.

That was good TS. Maisie the cat and I have just watched it - she couldn't take her eyes off Kali; she thought it was all soo interesting!
And of course she has to climb in for a cuddle when I am in the bath unless I do what you did and splash a little. I wonder whose claws are sharper?

Dont you just love it when our animal/bird friends trust you that much.

Bet you had to be careful making that vid 2sheds. I mean of course you may drop the camera into the bath

Aww thanks for all the comments guys, she's a lovely dog to take care of - even though she is, as CreemTeez put it, a little demanding of her creature comforts

TS - I've never seen a parrot take a bath before - I didn't even knew they had to take them! I noticed the TRESemme in the background, is that for washing his feathers with? :P

                        No, it's for mine

Birds indeed need to bathe frequently to keep their skin & feathers in good condition: some will use bird baths or dust bowls.

African Greys produce a lot of dander (like dandruff) and frequent bathing keeps this in check - plain water, no detergents.

Cute ! (But yes TS, it is weird. Semisubmersible parrots are not a typical bath toy.)

How old is Roxy ? And has she worked out where the people in the telly are yet ?

Of course not! They're inside the telly - the whole around the back is a wayward conspiracy man..
In actual fact, depending upon whose house she's in (mine or my girlfriends) they can either be in the Kitchen, garden, behind the telly or in the telly.

That was filmed a while ago, but you get the idea
