Default Rain

Is this rain ever going to stop? I'm asking for a reason as OH reckons that, as it's going to be months before our clay soil is workable, we might as well get on with decorating the sitting-room.

Noooooooooooooooooo

ANYTHING but decorating. We bought a new suite 15 months ago and it's waited all that time for its surroundings to be painted to match, (it was supposed to be done by Christmas 2006). I know I'll love it when it's finished, but I just hate the disruption, especially as OH is a perfectionist who can't start one job without finding another five along the way. I've run out of excuses and my only hope now is for the weather to turn unseasonably Spring-like so we can put in lots of lottie time. What do you all think are the chances of that.......?

OK, I'll dig out the paintbrushes then, shall I?

Our forecast indicates digging out the paintbrushes as the inevitable course of action. Sorry

It is actually the Mongolian year of the paintbrush, not the Allotment. Sorry.

I've enjoyed decorating much more since I started using rollers instead of brushes - by golly you cover a lot of wall a lot quicker!
I'd still rather be playing in the mud though

Play to your strengths, I say - he makes a vastly better job than I ever could of decorating - mind you I bet I bake a better biscuit than could....

What does my head in about the OH & decorating is that he suddenly decides to start doing a job, with absolutely no preparation whatsoever... No clearing the room, getting the stuff he needs ready, no dust-sheets... It'll lead to a murder one day...! So, we've got loads of decorating that needs to be done I'll win on the Lotto one day, then we'll just get someone in to do it!!
