We were happy to see the rain too (although I had to change travel arrangements as it was too wet to bring the toddler home on the bus - OH did that instead later as we took his car!!). I have a load of weeding to do, and hope to take Friday off, so this should make the ground easier to pull them (and I might manage to sow a few carrots, and parsnips and lettuces and peas if the ground is damp enough still!!).

After all those hot, dry days, we now have endless wet, dreary cold ones...no sun appearing on the 5-day forecast at all. Why is it all or nothing in this darned country?

If anyone is listening, we would like rain from 1am to 5am please, and then sunshine all day. Okay?

OH went off to the TT races at the IOM today......camping.....I'm flying out on Friday, coming back home Sunday)
                    - please, please, please don't let it rain! I don't do rain, especially when Im having to sleep in a tent for the first time in 20 years, and go on the back of a motorbike (haven't done this for a considerable number of years!).
My sciatica is playing up BIG style.......just a little bit of sunshine would warm my old bones and put a smile on my face for my holiday!

Lucky you Bernie. Last went to the TT as a younger single gal in 1999 and had a fab time time even though I took my Dad with me.
Rain or shine, the atmosphere is great. Enjoy

On the plot, my almost empty butts are now almost full.
