  • R.I.P Tony Curtis

One of my favorite movie stars Tony Curtis has passed away today aged 85, he stared in more than 140 Hollywood Movies including "Some like it hot " with Marilyn Monroe. And one of my OH's favourites "Spartacus".

    R.I.P Tony. xx

Yes indeed - the passing of a most lovable rogue - I'll really miss him.

Remember many chat show appearances where we got an insight into his cheeky encounters with opposite sex etc! Great racconteur.

Loved his TV show with Roger Moore in the Persuaders, but I love TV from that era, and many other Film roles - particularly the costume dramas like the mighty Spartacus etc. Was he not also in Ghengis Khan as Taras Bulba? one of Khan's sons?

RIP Tony Curtis - and thanks for the memories.

Also Loved him in "Operation Petticoat", he seemed to be a very under rated actor who in my opinion didn't get the recognition he should have got. Usually playing parts that were over shadowed by much bigger named actors such as Kurt Douglass and Jack Lemmon.
But yes , he did star in "Ghengis Khan" quark.

He seemed like he lived life to the full didn't he! I liked him in The Persuaders & in Some Like It Hot & The Vikings - I have to like that though - it's one of the O.H.'s favourite films & he stops on it anytime he finds it when 'twiddling' with the remote!

I remember him dearly as being a star without the self indulgence of many. He was an entertainer that could laugh at himsefl. He was funny, too beautifull but above all was a nice guy. Wish I had bought one of his pictures.

This one is certainly tongue in cheek....

Sorry to hear that, he was one of my childhood heros. A great loss indeed.
