Just found a quote in a very old gardening book, late eighteen hundreds, and thought I'd share..
"The garlic has a flavour peculiar to itself and an oudur that no one can mistake who has enjoyed a puff from the mouth of a wandering spaniard"

Whilst writing I remembered this one.
"The good gardener will certainly have finished all his digging and trenching by now, but sluggards may still have some work to do"
Cryin won't help you, prayin won't do you no good!

In the late 1800's wandering Frenchmen ( or those that looked like they could be) were hung up in that part of the country.
Sent from my pc cos I don't have an i-phone.

        Oh No! I'm a sluggard
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

I'm an official nutter - an official 'cropper' of a nutter! I am sooooo pleased to be a cropper! Hurrah!
