  • Proud of my veggie patch!

It's peeing down today so I thought I'd take a few minutes on here to tell you all how proud I am

March 2006 the bottom end of my garden was a mess - enough tree cuttings to fill 2 average sized garages - and full of weeds and brambles - years of neglect - and now it's a fairly tidy veggie patch with greenhouse and everything is growing really well

I've learnt a lot in the last couple of years - planned ahead over the winter and everything falling into place nicely

    I'm happy and proud!

you have every right to feel proud FG - sounds like you have worked hard and planned well. I need to think more about planning for my second year to come.

Peeing down here also - day 2 of peeing down

Know how you feel Farmer Gyles. Pi**ling down here too and has been for the past two days. Was desperate for the water though so no complaints really. OH has been down to the water butt a few times and drained off some into cans so that we can get more in. I am very proud of what I have achieved so far too - lovely feeling innit? To see all those neat rows of fresh veg and all with your own blood sweat and tears. Trouble is spoiling the effect when you pull something like a lettuce!! Only joking. I take it straight back to the kitchen and the minute it's washed I start scoffing it. Well done you. Sanjo

Well done lad. I hope you took a picture when it was full of tree prunings? You can never really remember how bad it was. Long may you enjoy it!

Nice one F_G I'm not as far on as you but I'm in the process of clearing a really overgrown lottie, so I know how great it feels to think 'I did that'!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Well done Farmer Gyles. It's satisfying this gardening lark isn't it (well most of the time anyway).
