    Pretty please with a cherry on top.....

    Can we have a Halloween Party in the Gardeners Rest to test out the new facilities?

    It is so quiet on here at the moment!

    Off to demonise the panto horse just in case.

        Oh pumpkins - BM could do some carving.

        And I'm sorry to have to tell you all this but the panto horse loves a bit of tittervation? every now and then.

        There are rumours that it was seen on the beach at Brighton trying to convince a group of terrified children that it was a lovable donkey. It did try to enter the Grand National but was barred because it did not have a rider - I couldn't do it as I get sea sick!

          Sorry Lumpy but the GR doesn't have a licence for alcohol, entertainment, singing and dancing or any other fun stuff yet

          However, since licences are not needed for outdoor entertainment, it has been agreed that we will have a Halloween party in the Pub garden. I'm told that there have been rumours of ghostly goings on in the old stables and something strange was seen lurking in the men's toilets No names mentioned!

          Since the Mods are so busy at the moment, we're recruiting an entertainments officer and party planner. Its unpaid but you'll put smiles on all our faces

          Any Volunteers?

            There is nothing strange going on in the men's toilets - it was me.

            Remember a few weeks back that I got a bit stuck because the seat had just been painted.........well.........that was in the gents because the girlie loo was closed.........what people heard was me howling in frustration at being welded to the seat as it were.

            It was NOT my fault........I thought the sign meant the loo's at the Gardeners Rest not the loo's at the Gardens of Rest.

            I sat, unstuck for ages (at least 5 mins) until a kindly gardener pulled, pushed and prised me off the still sticy seat.

            As for 'stable lurking' you had better ask Ray as he has been known too..........
