This morning on Radio 4 they played the bit where Oliver Postgate (who played the swanee whistle himself for Clanger speech) had made one of the characters say "Oh, sod it, it's bloody stuck again!" and they let him do it as whistle sounds. Really impressive. Mr Flum and I nearly fell out of bed laughing.
Another vote here for re-showing The Clangers!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Oliver Postgate was the most wonderful man ever - I have seen a few interviews he has done for these 'best children's TV show' sort of programmes and he was quite amazing. I am a huge Clangers fan (somewhere on the vine there is a 'recipe' to knit your own Clanger I think).
BRING BACK THE CLANGERS and all the other Postgate shows - let modern kids find the wonder we grew up with.Happy Gardening,
